WEDDING BELLS
HANSON— O SULLIVAN. At St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Auckland, on Wednesday, August 16, a pretty wedding was solemnised by Rev. Father O’Malley, of Remuera, assisted by Rev. Fathers Murphy and Taylor, when Kathleen, eldest daughter of Mrs. M. O’Sullivan, of Ponsonby, and late of Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland, was married to George, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hanson, of Rrookdale,’ Victoria street. The bride, who was conducted to the altar by her brother (Mr. J. J. O’Sullivan) wore a dainty gown of ivory crepe-de-chine, becomingly draped, the court train, which hung from the shoulders, being lined with ruchings of pale pink ninon, finished at the end with an ivory satin lover’s knot and a horseshoe of orange blossoms. Over all fell a long tulle veil arranged in place with a coronet of orange blossoms. Her bouquet was composed of white rosebuds, carnations, and maiden-hair fern, which, with a beautiful cameo brooch, was the gift of the bridegroom. The Misses Millie and Nora O’Sullivan (sisters of the bride) were bridesmaids, and were attired in pretty frocks of white organdie muslin, pale pink ninon hats with tiny black velvet bows. They carried bouquets of pink carnations and maiden-hair fern, their presents from the bridegroom being a gold cross and chain and wristlet watch respectively. Miss Veronica Donnelly (cousin of the bridegroom) was train-bearer, and was dressed in a pretty pale blue satin frock, and carried a basket of flowers. Mr. Robert Hanson (brother of the bridegroom) was best man, whilst Mr. F. G. J. Temm performed the duties of usher. After the ceremony the guests were entertained at the Piccadilly Tea Rooms by Mrs. O’Sullivan. Later on Mr. and Mrs, Hanson left for a tour of the North Island.
