DIOCESE OF DUNEDIN

The parish schools re-opened after the holidays on

Monday.

The annual picnic of the pupils of the Catholic schools of Dunedin and suburbs takes place on Tuesday next at Evansdale. The arrangements for the outing are now completed, and the committee, who have the matter in hand, have left nothing undone to ensure its success. The place selected is an ideal one in every way for a picnic, and, given favorable weather, there should be a very large attendance. The railway fares will be Is lOd for adults, Is 3d for senior, and lOd for junior pupils. Hot water and milk will be provided by the committee, of which Messrs. F. Cantwell and J. Fogarty are joint secretaries.
