THE REASON WHY
The Anglican Bishop of Lucknow (says the Catholic Herald of India) marvels why Anglican parents send their children to be educated in Catholic schools
instead of in Anglican seminaries. The Indian Planters' Gazette appropriately gives the reason 'why: —'The teaching staff in most Convents is mainly_ composed of Nuns, who are ladies by birth and who are admirably qualified for imparting accomplishments required by our daughters, while the Christian Brothers turn out a larger number of boys fit for Government and "other employ than do the Protestant schools for Europeans in India.' ■'."'..- "**•
