There were fair yardings at Addington marKet. Fat Cattle— Owing to the heavy and unexpected supply prices showed a further fall of about Is per 1001 b. Steers, £6 5s to £10 ; heifers, £5 5s to £8 7s 6d ; cows, £5 to £8 10s ; extra good, £9. Prices ranged from 16s 6d to 24s per 1001 b. Store Cattle.— A good entry. Yearlings fetched 17s to 21s ; 15-months old cattle, £2 4s to £2 10s ; two-year-old steers, £4 5s to £4 15s ; two-year-old heifers, £3 7s 6d ; dry cows, from 30s to £4 5s ; dairy cows, £3 10s to £9 ss. Fat Sheep. — A fairly large entry, much larger apparently than the requirements of the trade, and in consequence the market was much easier in tone. The quality of the sheep, however, was better than at last week's sale, and there were many good line's of both merino and crossbred wethers. The sale opened with a decline on last week's rates for butchers' ewes, but improved towards the end. Freezing wethers, 13s lOd to 16s ; heavyweights, to 17s; best crossbred ewes, 12s to 14s 5d ; others, 7s to lls 6d ; merino ewes (best), 10s to 12s 6d ; others, 5s 6d to 9s 6<l ; inferior merino ewes, 3s to 4s 9d. Fat Lambs. — 1500 entered. Butchers exhibited a keen demand and freezers were also active. Butchers' lambs realised lls to 15s ; freezers, 13s to 14s. Store Sheep. — Only 1480 penned, and in consequence of improved feed prospects the demand was good. Two and four-tooth ewes and wethers fetched 10s 7d to lls lOd ; twotooth ewes, 8s lid ; ewes and lambs, to 9s. Pigs. — An average entry. Theie was a good demand. Baconers ran from 34s to 50s, or 3}d to 3*d per lb ; porkers, 22s to 335, or 3£d to 3 id per lb ; stores, 15s to 22s for large, and 8s 6d to 12s 6d for small; weaners, 6s to Bs.
