Lamb : Prime Canterbury, 4}d ; fair average quality (including Dunedin, Southland, Wellington, and secondary Canterbury), 4d. New Zealand beef : (180 to 2201 b, fair average quality) : Ox forequarters, 3 .1-1 6 d ; hindquarters, 4 7-lGd. River Plate croaa-bred or merino wethers, 3^d.

Oats - During the past week the demand has not been so brisk, and values are about id per bushel below late quotations. We quote : Prime milling, Is «.td to Is 9Jd ; good to best feed, la 8d to Is 9d ; medium. Is 7d to Is Sd per hu«hel (sacks extra). Whkvt — We catalogued several lots of fowl wheat, whioh realised late values under good competition. Prime milling is in fair demand at late rates, and more attention is being devoted to medium quality suitable for shipment. We quote : Prime milling : 2s »>d to 2-, 7 id ; medium, 2s 21 to 2s .Id ; whole fowl wheat, 2s to 2s Id ; broken and damaged, Is 9d to Is lid per bushel (sacks in). Potatoes — Supplies are now not so heavy, and for prime fresh Derwents prices are a shade firmer. We sold a few prime at 32a 6d to 35s ; medium are worth 2.1s to 27s (3d per ton (sacks in). Chait - Prime oaten sheaf is scarce, and has advanced in value. Medium quality is fairly plentiful, and not in request. We quota : Prime oaten sheaf, L 2 10s to L 2 los ; medium, L 2 to L27u 6d per ton (bags extra)
