GREYMOUTH.
(From our own correspondent.)
Os a recent Sunday, at both Masses, Rev. Father Malone made a powerful ippeal for funds for Mount Magdala Asylum. Dr. Charles Morice, jun., recently returned from a trip to Europe, whither he went to gain a further insight into the latest hospital practice. While in London the decree of fellowship wa* conferred on him by the Royal College of Surgeons. Tbe marriage of this popular young surgeon to the Premier's daughter, Miss Louise Seddon, promises to be a big uffair, the date being fixed for next month. The numerous friends of the young couple — and they have many amongßt the readers of the Tablet — will wish them all possible happiness. The ladies of the bazaar committee are strenuously working to make the affair a success. The object of the bazaar, which takes place at Christmastide, is to raise funds to enable the nuns to rebuild St. Patrick's old schoo'. The following ladies have kindly undertaken the management of the various stalls: — Xo. 1, Mesdames Campbell and Griffon : No 2. Mesdames Hanmin and Burke : No. 3, Mesdames Foot and Doogan ; Xo. 4, Miss Roche and Children of Mary ; No. 5 (refreshment stall) Mrs. Dr. Morice.
