(From Contemporaries.) Cardinal Gibbons, during his stay in Borne, made a pilgrimage to the shrices of Perugia. His Eminence Cardinal Ledochowski celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood July 13. Mgr O'Connell, rector of the American College in Borne, has resigned. It is stated, that ill-health forced him to relinquish the arduous duties connected with the rectcrship. Dr Boissarie, who was at the head of the Medical Bureau at Lourdes, died recently. He was an eminent man in his profession and an earnest Catholic. Mr Charles E. Goppet, church warden of the Prolestant church of St John, at Hammersmith, England, was received into the Oatbolie Church at the Benedictine Abbey, Ypres, Belgium. Twenty.five pilgrims on the way to the Shrine of St Anne de Beaupre, Canada, were killed in a cillision on the Grand Trunk Biilway, Craig's Road. Among the killed are three priests. Forty were moro or less seriously iojured.
