DUNEDIN HORSE SALEYARDS.
Messrs. Wright, Stkphenson and Co. report as follows :— The horses offered at our sale on Saturday, consisted almost ontirely of town and dealers' lot?, for which there was a fair demand. Both draughts f»nd light harness horses were in better request, and we have no doubt a consignment of young horßes would coxmand a fair sale. Aged draught marcs brought up to Ll7, and upstanding hacks to Ll4 j heavy active draught mares and geldings (4yrs to6yre), Ll4 to L2O ; light and small do, L 8 to Ll2 ; aged and inferior do, L 4 to L 6 j unbroken colts and fillies (2yrs to 3yrs), L 9 to Lls ; upstanding active spring van horses (unbroken), Ll3 10s to Ll7 ; useful light spring cart horses. L 9 to LI 2 ; upstanding hacks and harness horses (young), L 7 to LlO ; aged and inferior do, L 2 to L 5. Mb F. Meenan. King street, reports:— Wholesale price only — Oats : Quieter, feed, Is lsd to Is 2£d ; milling, Is 3<i, to Is 3.Jd ; seed, nominal. Wheat : Milling 2s 8d to 2s lOd ; fowls' wheat, 2s to 2s 8d Bcarce. Chaff : Inferior, to medium, 30s to 40s ; good to prime, £2 5s to £2 Ts 6d. Hay : Oate, £3 ; ryegrass, £2 15s. Potatoes : locals, 309 to L 2 per ton ; market full. Flour : Stone, £6 10s to £7 0s ; roller, £7 to £7 10s. Oatmeal, 251bs, £7 10a ; bulk, £7 ss. Butter fresh, 6d to lOd, salt, sd, dull demand. Factory, lOd to lid. Eggs, Is lOd per drzen (scarce).
