Very Rev. Charles Vissani, Cammissary of the Holy Land for the United States, announces his return from the first American pilgrimpge to Palestine, and adds : "I am happy to say that the first American pilgrimage has been a succeis, and that our pilgrims have lef tin the minds of the people of all vlenominat ions in the Orient, and n the minds of the Franciscanß, a good opinion of our Catholicity in America, and they hope that this pilgrimage— the first from the United States— will be followed by many others^of ajsimilar character."
