Auckland. — Colin David Jarvis, escaping from mental hospital, has been arrested by the Woodville police. (See Police Gazette, 1945, page 871.)
Auckland. — Russell Wheeler, failing to maintain: War rant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 301.)
Auckland. — Ann Mahoney or McCarthy, suspected of theft, has been interviewed by the Auckland police, but no evidence resulted. (See Police Gazette, 1945, page 666.)
Auckland. — Jean White, inquired for, has paid her Social Security Contributions, and no further action is desired. (See Police Gazette, 1945, page 714.)
Auckland.—Albert Cecil Brown, alias Cecil Collingburn, convicted (see Police Gazette, 1945, page 811) : On 28th ultimo, the Court of Appeal reduced the sentence of “ 2 months ” to “ 1 month,” but the disqualification imposed on him under the Motor-vehicles Act still stands.
Freeman’s Bay.—Jeffery Emanuel, inquired for, has been interviewed by the Kihikihi police. His correct name is Godfrey Whent, and he is identical with a man of the same name referred to in Police Gazette, 1945, page 711, and Photographs, 1942, page 33. (See Police Gazette, 1943, page 315.)
Newmarket. — James Walter Carter, missing, has been located by the Phillipstown police. (See Police Gazette, 1945, page 875.)
Onehunga.—Mihaka Hira, inquired for, has paid his Social Security Contributions, and no further action is desired. (See Police Gazette, 1944, page 447.)
Pukekohe. — Wiremu Taka, inquired for, has paid his Social Security Contributions, and no further action is desired. (See Police Gazette, 1945, page 842.)
Putaruru. — Ernest James Duncan, default of fines and costs : The warrants have been executed by the Wellington police. (See Police Gazette, 1945, page 747.)
Napier. — Michael Quirke, alias Quirk, default of maintenance, has paid the arrears to the Lyttelton police. (See Police Gazette, 1945, page 871.)
Hastings.—Frank Hitchens, convicted (see Police Gazette, 1945, page 677) : The disqualification imposed on him under the Motor-vehicles Act has been removed, but, until 21st August, 1946, his driving of a motor-vehicle is limited to that of a motor-vehicle in the course of his employment.
Wellington. — William Thomas Ford, inquired for, has been located by the Otahuhu police. (See Police Gazette, 1941, page 109.)
