PROPERTY STOLEN

Auckland. —12th April last, from a motor-car in High Street, the property of RAYMOND ARTHUR EDGAR SCHOFIELD, 47 Wilcott Street, Mount Albert, a black worsted three-piece suit with white stripes about £ in. apart, size 7, black art-silk lining, “ Savile Row Clothes for the Particular Man ” on inside pocket, fob pocket and pleats in trousers; value, £ll 11s. Identifiable.

Howick. —Between 2nd and 29th April last, a dwelling at Buckland’s Beach, the property of JOSEPH JOHN REGALDO, 5 Douglas Road, Mount Eden, was broken into and the following stolen : A mantel model Zaney Gill radio, dark-walnut cabinet, 18 in. by 15 in, with oval top, three wooden control-knobs; an enamel electric jug with flex, quart size ; two dark-brown door curtains ; a white canvas car-cover with eyelets, ropes attached ; two rugs, one with black and white checks, the other dark-grey with grey and blue checks on one side ; two double bedspreads, one with blue and fawn stripes, and the other faded-blue and fawn ; two single sheets; two pillows with white pillow-cases; a cream-coloured single blanket; a cream-coloured cot blanket with blue stripes ; a white patch-work single quilt; a fawn tablecloth ; a poplin table centre with fancy work around edge ; a jardiniere ; a Daisy repeater air-gun ; and a facetowel with red and white stripes ; total value, £22. Identifiable.

Otahuhu.Bth or 9th March last, from sheds near buildings in the course of construction at the Acetone Illuminating and Welding Co., Great South Road, Penrose, the property, of THOMAS HUBERT CLEMENTS, builder, and others, a hand saw, seven teeth to the inch ; a Disston D.B hand saw, seven teeth to the inch, branded “ M ” ;. a rip saw, four and a half teeth to the inch, slightly buckled ; a hack-saw, iron frame; a brace, handle bound with copper wire; five bits, sizes £ in., § in., \ in., £ in., and £ in. ; a German jack plane, branded “H. Dickey ” ; two pairs of pliers about 8 in. and 9 in. ; a screwdriver, 12 in. long, branded “H. Dickey ” ; a 9 in. Stanley bevel ; al2 in. Stanley sliding bevel ; als in. level; three wood chisels, sizes £ in., f in., and 1£ in., branded “H. Dickey ” ; two cold chisels, 7 in. and 9 in. ; a 9 in. wood gauge, branded “ H. Dickey ” ; a 12 in. Stanley square ; two Cheney hammers, one branded “H. Dickey ” ; a pinch bar, 24 in. long ; a pair of 8 in. cutting pliers ; a pair of Record wire-cutters, 18 in. long ; a steel trowel ; a 3 ft. Rabone rule, branded “ H. Dickey ” ; a 100 ft. steel tape in steel case ; a carpenter’s old torn canvas kit ; a carpenter’s apron; and three gallons of petrol total value, £l7 Os. Od. Portion identifiable.

Otahuhu. — l7th or 18th March last, from a staff sittingroom at King’s College, the property of GEORGE AUGUSTUS ELWIN, 30 Olive Road, Penrose, Auckland, a five-valve mantel model broadcast R.C.A. Victor radio, dark-oak cabinet with rounded top, about 18 in. high ; value, £B. Identification doubtful.

Te Awamutu. —Between the 4th and 12th April last, from a motor-car in the main street, Matiere, near Ohura, the property of HUGH SETON TRIPE, Te Rauamoa, a •22 calibre Savage single-shot rifle, No. 14, model 3b ; a box containing thirty rounds of -22 calibre ammunition; and a pair of .Crescent pliers, “ S. and H.” brand, 8 in. long; total value, £3 2s. 3d. Rifle identifiable.

Rotorua.29th or 30th January last, the property of MOLLY' MURDOCH-SMITH, Te Wairoa Road, an 18 ct. gold ring, set with three large diamonds in platinum setting, small diamonds on each side of setting ; value, £IOO. Identifiable. Complainant probably lost the ring at Blue Lake.

Marton. —2nd or 3rd ultimo, from the dwelling of LORNA DOROTHY EMERSON, 46 Crofton Road, a brown or lighttan purse, about 8 in. long at base and 10 in. at top with handles, knob-fastener, fawn lining, containing a white handkerchief ; a coloured handkerchief; a nickel-plated round powder-compact containing a ladies’ 18 ct. gold round wristlet watch about 1 in. in diameter, white dial, Arabic numerals on narrow strip of mother-of-pearl, 9 ct. gold link wrist-band, purchased at Stewart Dawson and Co., Christchurch ; a motor-driver’s license in name Maurice Desmond Jurgens; and about £6 in money; total value, about £l4 18s. Identifiable except money.

Christchurch.— ultimo, from a bathroom in the People’s Palace, Manchester Street, the property of AVIS CARLINE, Alexandra, an 18 ct. gold engagement ring, set with a cluster of seven diamonds, small diamond set in platinum on each shoulder ; value, £4O. Identifiable.

Dunedin. — Between the 7th and 9th April last, from the factory of E. JENSEN, LTD., Burnside, a blacksmith’s Bufco drilling machine, No. 611, about 36 in. long and may be fitted to wall or post, made by Blower and Forge Co., Kitchener, Canada, damaged by fire ; value, £7.
