Whangarei. l3th October last, from the dwelling of ROMA JOYCE McKECHNIE, Redan Road, Kaitaia, about £137 in money, made up of ”£lO, £5, and £1 notes ; a gentlemen’s grey woollen sleeveless pullover; a gentlemen’s black fleecy-lined woollen jersey with polo neck ; a pair of brown worsted trousers with faint light-brown, red, and blue stripes, size 4, “G. Kear, Greymouth ” on buttons, braces attached; total value, £144. Identifiable except money.

Between the 25th and 31st August last, from Camp Euart, Mangere, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Army Department), a Jeep, Willys make, painted Army green, “ 9829 ” painted on each side of bonnet and on back, engine No. 132851, representation of a kiwi probably painted on back and on lower part of windscreen; value, £IOO. Palmerston North. —Between the 30th October last and 3rd instant, from a dwelling at Waikanae Beach, the property of EDWARD ESDAILE, Wairere Road, Melling, six cushions of repp material with yellow, blue, and brown stripes; a bevelled wall mirror, about 24 in. in diameter with scalloped edge; a chromium round electric clock, about 6 in. in diameter, black dial, chromium hands, grey rubber covered flex attached; two cream-coloured carpets, one about 12 ft. by 10 ft., and the other about 6 ft. by 4 ft. with yellow and green floral pattern in centre ; a pink Wilton mat, about 6 ft. by 4 ft. ; three single and two double white lambswool blankets ; two single linen floral bed-spreads with green borders ; a brown crockery electric jug, piece broken off lid ; and a bright metal electric toaster ; total value, £BO 10s. Upper Hutt. — 14th September last, from the dwelling of AGNES. KEYS, Main Road, a gentlemen’s suit and a leather attache-case (recovered); a ladies’ gold wristlet watch, Arabic numerals, rolled-gold expanding wrist-band; and £ls in money ; total value, £4O. Watch identifiable. About the same time from the dwelling of ALICE MAY WATTS, Miro Road, the following was also stolen : A ladies’ gold wristlet watch; and a £1 note”; total value, £7. Swan Electric Co. make, “ LI 2 ” on them ; three electric Strip lamps two lamp -brackets ; 10 ft. of three-core flex ; and a Straightflight Jr compass (Pioneer instrument), painted black, made in America, Arabic numerals 1-35” ; total value, £l6 ss. 6d.
