Auckland. —On the 27th September last, the dwelling of THELMA BARKER, 4 Peary Road, Mount Eden, was broken into and the following stolen : A gold heart-shaped locket studded with turquoise chips, ring for chain at front; a rolled gold chain of fine links, about 18 in. long; a gold bracelet with gold heart with leaf design thereon, push-in fastener ; a 9 ct. gold cross, about 1 in. by J in., ring at top ; a gentlemen’s silver square wristlet watch (not in working order); a ladies’ silver old half-hunting embossed watch (not in working order) converted into wristlet watch, black Roman numerals on front case ; a ladies’ nickel-plated round wristlet watch (not in working order), about size of a shilling ; a gold well-worn wedding ring; and £1 3s. 3d. in money ; total value, £ll 18s. 3d. Auckland. —lßth or 19th October last, from a room in St. David’s Hospital, Gillies Avenue, Epsom, the property of SYBIL FLEMING, nurse, a ladies’ nickel-plated 15-jewel Swiss wristlet watch, about 1 in. by £ in., No. 2086, round dial, Arabic numerals, chromium wrist-band of chain type ; value, £lO. Identifiable. The offence may have been committed by a Man (name unknown), age about twenty-five, height about 5 ft. 7 in., medium build, dark complexion ; wearing a darkbrown suit, light-grey felt hat, and shoes with rubber soles. At about 8.30 p.m. on 18th October last he was discovered in complainant’s room, but he ran away.

Between the 14th and 16th October last, the shop of CHARLES GORDON JOHNSON, draper, Main Street, was broken into and the following stolen : A pair of white woollen single blankets, hemmed at each end ; . a pair of white woollen double blankets, hemmed at each end ; twelve pairs of gentlemen’s Canterbury Marl heavy woollen socks, black with red flecks; three pairs of gentlemen’s light-grey synthetic wool sports trousers, Olympic make, size 4; a gentlemen’s dark-brown leather vest, Fashion Coat make, size 4, dark-maroon coloured lining, zip-fastener in front and on pockets ; a gentlemen’s light-brown leather lumber-jacket, size 6 or 7, black cotton lining, four buttons on front, two buttons on each sleeve ; and a woollen travelling rug, 56 in. by 76 in., blue and red chock pattern, fringe at each end ; total value, £25. Identifiable. Complainant’s motor-car was unlawfully removed from High Street on 28th October last, and when recovered in King’s Crescent the following day it was discovered that the radio had been stolen.
