COMMISSIONER OF POLICE APPOINTED
Police Department, Wellington, 31st October, 1944. His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint James Cummings, Esquire, ' to be Commissioner of Police under the provisions of section 3 of the Police Force Act, 1913, the appointment to take effect on and from the Ist day of November, 1944, vice Denis Joseph Cummings, Esquire, resigned. P. Fraser, Minister in Charge of Police Department.
