Auckland. — Between the 13th and 15th November last, from a shed in Fruitvale Road, New Lynn, the property of BOGOSLAV SOKOLICH, a motor-truck rim fitted with a 32 by 6 Michelin tire which has been recapped with diamondshaped tread by Firestone Tyre Co., serial No'. K.L. 766233 an coloured Bedford truck disc-wheel fitted with a 750 by 20 recapped Dunlop or Firestone tire : and ten gallons of petrol; total value, £46 7s. lid. Identifiable except petrol.

Auckland. —Between the Ist December last and 14th January, from a trunk at the rear of His Majesty’s Theatre, Queen Street, the property of OPHIR REES, 372 Karangahape Road, eight Indian head-dresses (one recovered), made up of material, feathers, and fur, and extend from head to ground; total value, £l2O. Identifiable. The offence may have been committed by a Man (name unknown), age about thirty, height about 5 ft. 7 in., medium build ; wearing uniform of member of R.N.Z.A.F., and an American serviceman. Early in December last they sold the recovered head-dress to an attendant at the Amusement Park, Civic Square.

Auckland.— Between the 31st December last and 28th January, from a store in Papakura Military Camp, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Army Department), five 525 by 16 new Firestone motor tires with arrow between “ N.Z.” and “ D.” on them ; and a 325 by 19 Firestone motor-cycle tire with arrow between “ N.Z.” and “D” on it; total value, £25 2s. 6d. Not identifiable.

Auckland. —l4th December last, from a coat in the shop of Miller’s Ltd., 70 Victoria Street, the property of ARCHIBALD COLEMAN HALLETT, 71 Orakei Road, Remuera, a gentlemen’s gold-filled open-face Elgin pocket watch, black Roman numerals, repair No. V. 1.5307 scratched on inside back case ; a padlock key, about 2 in. long with “ Hobbs & Co.” and Lever ”on it; and a door-key, about in. long ; total value, £lO ss. Auckland. —27th December last, from a room at 1 1 Nugent Street, Mount Eden, the property of DIANE HOGG, £8 10s. in money ; a ladies’ 18 ct. gold dress ring, set with a diamond in claw setting, fine shank; a pair of pink corsets with brassiere to match, Berlei make; and a pink silk locknit petticoat with panties to match ; total value, £32 10s. Portion identifiable. The offence may have been committed by a Man (name unknown), age about thirty-five, height about 5 ft. 9 in., good build, fair hair ; wearing a light-khaki shirt and trousers and white tennis shoes ; probably a New Zealand or American serviceman ; short quick gait. When complainant was returning to her room after a temporary absence she saw the man described walk away from her bedroom door, and shortly after discovered that the property described had been stolen.

Auckland. 24th January last, from a motor-car, the property of LEO ALFONZO BOUZAII), 72 St. Heliers Bay Road, a ladies’ 9 ct. gold hexagon-shaped Ralco wristletwatch with oval dial, “ H.S. 23rd” or “ 25th Feb., 1943” on inside, wrist-band of gold flat links with spring catch ; value, £ls. Complainant’s motor-car, value £360, was unlawfully removed from Fort Street, and when it was recovered in Lome Street the following day it was discovered that the watch had been stolen.

Auckland. 3oth January last, from clothing in the Tip Top Milk Bar, 142 Queen Street, the property of PEARL PHILLIPS, Great North Road, Henderson, a ladies’ rolledgold 15-jewel Ralco wristlet watch, about 1 in. by f in., may have “ D 2135 ” scratched on outside back case, wristband of rolled gold links, about \ in. wide ; value, £7 7s. Identifiable.

Auckland. — loth ultimo, from the dwelling of ELIZABETH SARNEY, 11 Coleridge Street, Grey Lynn, £7 in money ; and a jewel of the Order of the Eastern Star Lodge, consisting of three parts each joined with gold chains, top is a scroll of gold with “ Heremai Chapter ” on it, centre is a gold disc with “ E.S.”. on it, and bottom is a five-pointed enamel star surrounded with circle of gold and “ Presented to Sister Elizabeth Sarney for her services as worthy matron 1940-41 ” on back ; total value, £l2. Jewel identifiable. On the 24th ultimo a youth admitted the offence, and the stolen property has not been recovered.

Naval rating, an Agfa folding camera, takes 35 mm. film, made by Ansco Co., Binghamton, New York, about 31 in. by 5 in., f. 3-5 to f. 22 lens, place on top to secure range-finder, fifteen exposures on film depicting scenes at Auckland Zoo ; value, £35. Bulls. —29th ultimo or Ist instant, from the R.N.Z.A.F. Station, Ohakea, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Air Department), a black aeroplane clock, 21 in. in diameter, serial No. 2873, luminous numerals 3,6, 9, and 12 only, black dial with “ Eight days, Kollsman Instrument Company, Elmhurst, New York, Makers LonginesWittnauer ”on it; value, £lO. Identifiable.

Petone.— Between the 23rd and 29th ultimo, from motortrucks in McEwan Park, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Ministry of Supply Department), two G.M.C. motor-truck wheels, painted greenish-khaki, five holding-studs, each fitted with a 700 by 20 Royal tire and tube ; eight steel International motor-truck wheels, painted greenish-khaki, six holding-studs, each fitted with an 825 by 20 Goodrich Silvertown tire with “ Specdliner Heavy Duty, Ten-ply, Made in U.S.A.” on it (“ Military ” burned in each tire above serial number which will end with 3527, 3547, or 3765); total value, £SOO.
