Russell. — Samuel Robert Campbell, deserting Army, has been arrested by the military authorities. (See Police Gazette, 1943, page 271.)

Kawakawa. — George Newman, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount to the Whangarei police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 625.)

Devonport.— Jack William Mist, absent from Navy Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1943, page 333.)

Auckland. — Edward Charles Cotter, referred to in Police Gazette, 1941, page 409, and Photographs, 1922, page 115, died at Auckland on the 13th instant.

Auckland.— Gilbert William Jackson, inquired for, has been interviewed by the Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1941, page 727.)

Auckland. — Earle William Shilton, referred to in Police Gazette, 1943, page 76, and Photographs, 1938, page 37, died at Auckland on the 13th instant.

Auckland. Wallace Alexander Drever, referred to in Police Gazette, 1943, page 280, died at Auckland on the sth ultimo.

Auckland. — Victor Howard Boyd, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Taumarunui police. (See Police Gazette, 1943, page 289.)

Auckland. — Jack Mervern Applegren, alias Jack Mervyn Appelgren, absent from Army, has been arrested by the military authorities. (See Police Gazette, 1943, page 316.)

Auckland. — Edward Arthur Halligan, absent from Army, has been arrested by the military authorities. (See Police Gazette, 1943, page 333.)

Hamilton.— Joe Greenwood, theft, has been interviewed by the Wanganui police. He is identical with Joseph Greenwood, referred to in Police Gazette, 1943, page 350. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 625.)

Gisborne. — Francis Robert Parker, failing to maintain Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 90.)

Ohakune. William Morris, suspected of shopbreaking, has been arrested by the Otorohanga police, and he admitted the offence. (See Police Gazette, 1943, page 350.)

Hastings.— Annie Craddock, referred to in Police Gazette, 1937, page 71, was killed at Ngaliauranga Railway-station on the 7th ultimo.

Palmerston North. —The unclaimed bicycle has now been claimed by the owner, Desmond Michael O’Shea. (See Police Gazette, 1943, page 98.)

Palmerston — Thomas Henry Carstairs, alias Henry Thomas Carstairs, rogue and vagabond, has been arrested by the Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1943, page 207.)

Palmerston North. John Huff, absent from Army, has been arrested by the Otaki police. (See Police Gazette, 1943, page 271.)

Wellington. William Albert Gaines and Alexander Wallace Copley, false pretences, have been interviewed by the Wellington and Christchurch police, but no evidence resulted. (See Police Gazette, 1943, page 253.)

Wellington. William James Edmunds, alias Edmonds, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Queen Street Wharf (Auckland) police. (See Police Gazette, 1942, pages 549 and 590.)

Christchurch. Thomas William Parry, failing to notify change of address, has been arrested by the Dunedin police. (See Police Gazette, 1942, page 601.)

Christchurch. — Joseph Benson, alias Peneamene Tekihi Hohepa, warehouse-breaking, has been arrested by the Dunedin police. (See Police Gazette, 1943, page 207.)

Christchurch. —Horace Leslie Hawk’s watch stolen: The offender has been interviewed by the Christchurch police, and he admitted the offence, but the watch has not been recovered. (See Police Gazette, 1943, page 291.)

Christchurch. — Basil George Knox, forgery and uttering, has been arrested by the Levin police. (See Police Gazette, 1943, pages 289 and 329.)
