Queen Street Wharf (Auckland). Since the sth ultimo, Cuthbert Downey Carson, age twenty-five, height about 5 ft. 7 in., seaman, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh tanned complexion, dark-brown hair, blue eyes, natural teeth; probably dressed in dark tweed trousers, blue jersey, light singlet, and blue light-weight elephant-hide coat. Fears are entertained for his safiAy^^^ £ Timaru. Since November, 1921, Robert James Pearse, age' thirty-nine, height 5 ft. 11 in., labourer, native of England, fresh complexion, dark hair, dark-brown eyes, large dark mole on lower part of back, broad shoulders, erect gait; an ex Imperial soldier. He was last heard of at Timaru in 1921. Inquiry by James Pearse, 6 Chesterfield Road, Leyton, E. 10 ; England.
