INQUIRIES, ETC., FROM OUTSIDE NEW ZEALAND.
Sydney (Australia). the 22nd and 25th ultimo, the premises of the CONKLIN PEN CO., 141 Clarence Street, were broken into and the following stolen: Six hundred propel and repel Conklin pencils, branded “ The Crescent Pencil Conklin Product,” made of pyroxylin with gold bands and clips and chromium points, of the following colours : Black and gold mottled, blue mottled, red and grey mottled, red pearl with stripes, green pearl with stripes, some are small and have a small ring in top ; four hundred and thirtytwo Conklin fountain-pens, branded “ The Crescent Pen Conklin Product and Conklin Endurer,” of the following colours : Pearl and black, black and gold with two narrow gold bands on cap and gold clasps, mahogany with gold band, red with gold band, each with a gold nib : total value, £412. If any of the property is traced in New Zealand an urgent communication is to be sent to the Commissioner of Police, Wellington. (P. 36/695.)
