The bicycle was stolen from Newmarket and sold by the man described above to a secondhand dealer at Otahuhu. No warrant.

The coat was stolen from a bedroom in the Royal Court Private Hotel and sold to a second-hand dealer for £2 10s. by a woman giving the name “ Peggy Ann Thomson.” The photograph of Margaret Harvey, alias Peggy Hansen, referred to in Police Gazette, 1933, page 446, and Photographs, page 69, has been identified as that of the woman who sold the coat. He has failed to make restitution, and his arrest is desired. The original charge on which he was released reads : “At Auckland on the 28th August, 1934, and on divers dates between 28/8/34 and 18/10/34 did receive sums of money amounting to £3 15s. on terms requiring him to account for or pay the same to Frank Henry Dansey, did fraudulently omit to account for or pay the same and did thereby commit theft.” (See Police Gazette, 1936, page 3, and Photographs, 1935, page 5.)

Newmarket. —Bth October last, on warrant for theft of a motor-truck (recovered), value £3O, the property of Alfred William Sakey, monumental mason, Henderson, Alan Alfred Beehre, referred to in Police Gazette, 1933, page 3. When last seen he was dressed in a navy-blue herring-bone suit, blue shirt, and black shoes (no hat); fond of drink. He left this Dominion by the m.v. “ Mariposa ” for Sydney on the 21st February last. He was accompanied by Elizabeth Milburn Pyke, and they ' travelled as Mr. and Mrs. George Pyke. Accused, who was employed on bridge-building work at Bush Creek, Fairlie, obtained £3 18s. from John Joseph O’Sullivan, Storekeeper, by fraudulently representing that that amount was owing to him for wages, and that the foreman of the works, Hugh Sutherland, instructed Him to call on complainant, who would pay the money.
