Mount Albert.— November last, from 680 New North Road, the property of NOELEEN REID, a ladies’ gold wristlet-watch, with expanding bracelet; value, £5. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Man (name unknown), age about nineteen, height 5 ft. 8 in., fish-hawker, medium build, dark complexion and hair; wearing a blue suit (no hat).
Auckland. — On the 19th ultimo, the dwelling of FRANK HAYDN HAIGH, 622 New North Road, Mount Albert, was broken into and the following stolen : A golden-brown kneelength musquash fur coat, with black skunk collar, fin* button under collar, lined with blue and gold silk ; a light-brown leather kit-bag, with two or three railway-labels on it; several pairs of earrings; a heavy silk marocain two-piece dress, skirt blue, and top of jumper scarlet, front of neck fastens in a scarlet bow; a white marocain sleeveless tennis frock; a white crepe de Chine dress, with Peter Pan collar ; a short black silk marocain coat; a half-sovereign; and a pair of gentlemen’s cuff-links : total value, £57 15s. 6d. Identifiable except kit-bag and half-sovereign. Suspicion is attached to a Man (name unknown), age about thirty-seven, height about 5 ft. 8 in., medium build, fair complexion, heavy eyebrows, hollow cheeks; dressed in a/dark suit and felt hat; delicate appearance. j/ckzUu Os&usfcc/ 1 Hamilton. Between tne Bth and 9th October last, from the Tiny Tot Garage, the property of JOHN DIXON PEPPER, a "22 calibre single-shot F.N. rifle, No. 49422 ; value, £2. Identifiable. /UoWjl^M^-7fSfAS ' Rotorua. —Between the 20th September and 15th October last, the property of KATHLEEN DUFFY, Ngongotaha, £3OO in notes. Not identifiable. Complainant kept the money in three cocoa-tins buried in the garden.
Wanganui. — October last, from the dwelling of BEATRICE LOTTIE BRIDGES, 32 Smithfield Road, a cinnamon-coloured tweed costume, panel back, plain front, two side pocket flaps, plain skirt; a white crepe de Chine sleeveless evening frock; a Japanese silk white underskirt, with blue satin shoulder straps; a black velvet bridge coat, long sleeves, lined with white Jap silk ; a cream fuji silk shirt blouse, long sleeves; a blue woollen pullover, V-neck; a red and black woollen cardigan, long sleeves, two white buttons in front; a green gabardine repp coat frock, buttons Gown front, half belt, buckle in front, “ McSkimming ” on tab; a ladies’ leather handbag, with four compartments ; and a white Marcella quilt, extra large size: total value, £2l 7s. 6d. Identifiable.
Petone. —About 30th July last, from a garage, the property of SHOLTO EERGUSSON, Tui Road, Day’s Bay, a -22 calibre single-shot Winchester rifle, model 02 ; value, £1 10s. Identification doubtful.
Petone. Between the 20th and 27th November last, the property of JACK MASON, Rata Road, Lower Hutt, a ‘303 M.L.E. rifle, ink. 1, x H.V. 1901, No. 13401, body No. 9115; value, £2. Identifiable.
— Between the 12th and 13th ultimo, the storeroom at the Trentham Racecourse was broken into and the following, the property of P. BURKE AND CO., Riccarton, stolen: Sixty-nine bottles D.C.L. whisky; thirty bottles Bell’s whisky ; sixty bottles Dewar’s whisky ; twenty-four bottles Black and White whisky; three bottles Jamieson’s whisky ; seven bottles Haig’s whisky ; ten bottles White Horse whisky ; twelve bottles Walker’s whisky; thirteen pint bottles champagne ; ten quart bottles champagne; twelve bottles D.C.L. gin ; three bottles brandy ; and thirteen bottles port wine : total value, £132. Not identifiable.
Wellington. June last, from a motor-car in Koro Koxo Road, Petone, the poperty of ROBERT THEODORE REID, Khandallah, a "303 M.L.E. rifle, long pattern, No. 1333 ; value, £3. Identifiable.
Wellington. Between the Ist and 2nd ultimo, the dwelling of EDGAR VERNON BEVAN, 39 Salamanca Road, was broken into and the following stolen : A silver cigarettecase, with “ E.V.8.” engraved on it; value, £l. Identifiable.
Christchurch. —Between the sth and 6th ultimo, the dwelling of ROY WIREMU MIDGLEY, 118 Fendalton Road, was broken into and the following stolen : Two ladies’ silver wristlet-watches; a gentlemen’s silver open-face pocket watch ; a ladies’ gold ring, set with a ruby; a gold brooch, set with pearls in shape of a G ; a gold cable bangle, with locket attached; a plain gold armlet; a silver and bluegreen enamelled bangle, with safety chain; a white double blanket; a six-chambered old damaged revolver; and a box of biscuits: total value, £l6 2s. 6d. Identifiable except revolver and biscuits.
Christchurch. —On the 27th October last, the dwelling of ELIZABETH HALE, 37 River Road, was broken into and the following stolen : A black 1a Kodak folding camera, No. 74335, in khaki canvas case, with “ D. Hale, 37 River Road ”on it; a string of imitation pearls ; a string of pink beads; six ladies’ linen handkerchiefs ; a pair of ladies’ silk stockings ; and a ladies’ silk vest: total value, £5 10s. Camera identifiable.
