Auckland. —13th October last, from a motor-car in High Street, the property of MADGE DREADON, 498 Dominion Road, a “ His Master’s Voice” gramophone, in black leather case ; value, £9. Identification doubtful.
Auckland.— October last, from a motor-car in Queen Street, the property of WILLIAM WILSON, 29 Grosvenor Street, Grey Lynn, a banjo-ukelele, Mayfair brand, about 10 in. drum, bloodstain on vellum ; value, £5. Identifiable.
Auckland. —4th December last, from 48 College Street, the property of JOSEPH KNIGHT, a gentlemen’s darkbrown coat and vest, herring-bone pattern; a gentlemen’s nickel watch ; and a 15 ct. gold watch-chain, fetter and oval pattern, repaired with an odd piece of chain : total value, £lO Bs. Identifiable.
Pukekohe. During April last, the property of EDWARD JOHN BILKEY, farmer, a brown gelding, age four years, height 14|- hands, docked tail, mane trimmed, good jumper; value, £lO. Identifiable.
Hamilton. Between the 16th and 17th December last, the premises of Messrs. W. D. AND H. O. WILLS, LTD., Alexander Street, were broken into, and the following stolen : A large quantity of cigarettes, assorted brands ; a large quantity of tobacco, assorted brands; and a small empty wooden case, which contained “ Roches Slide Vestas,” manufactured in Belgium : total value, £BO 13s. 7d. Not identifiable.
Waipiro Bay. —Between October, 1930, and November last, a shed at the Mata River Suspension Bridge, Makarika, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Public Works Department), was broken into and the following stolen: A7O lb. Price’s timber-jack, double claw, may have P.W.D. and arrow on it; value, £6. ' Identification doubtful.
Wellington. 2lst August last, the propertv of the NAPIER-WELLINGTON TRANSPORT CO., Bond Street, an Atwater-Kent electric radio-set, Compact model No. 84, No. 7634873 ; value, £29 10s. Identifiable.
Wellington. l3th November last, from a motor-car in Cuba Street, the property of ALICK THOMSON MORRISON, 16 Bridge Street, Lower Hutt, a gentlemen’s new suit, Thornproof material, light-brown mixture with faint red and blue stripes in it, fit a man about 6 ft.; value, £6 ss. Identifiable.
Christchurch. the Ist and 23rd November last, from the warehouse of PATTISON EDE CO., 72 Lichfield Street, a ladies’ golden - seal fur coat, with natural skunk gathered collar and cuffs, lined with brown embroidered crepe de Chine, pelt branded “ K. 138 ” underneath lining, 42 in. long, fit a woman with 40 in. bust; value, £52. Identifiable.
Dunedin. 27th November last, from a strongroom, the property of JAMES SAMSON AND CO., auctioneers, Dowling Street, a cheque for £3 10s. sd. (recovered); a gentlemen’s silver open-face English lever watch ; a ladies’ gold ring, half hoop, set with five diamonds in claw setting; a ladies’ ring set with diamond chips; 17s. worth of Id. and 2d. stamps; and £l4 2s. 7d. in money : total value, £l4 19s. 7d. Not identifiable. Suspicion is attached to [VSan (name unknown), age about twenty-six, height about 5 ft. 8 in., medium build, fresh complexion; wearing a navy-blue nap overcoat. The suspect cashed the cheque at J. R. McKenzie’s, Ltd.
