Ellerslie. —On the 4th ultimo the dwelling of ETHEL GEORGINA PEACOCK, St. Heliers Bay Road, was broken into, and the following stolen therefrom : A watch (recovered); an oval-shape gold bangle, “To Miss E. G. Peacock from Telegraph Staff, Oct. 12th, 1924,” engraved inside ; a gold ring set with a black opal; two strings of pearls ; and a necklet of pink beads : total value, £l9 2s. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to George Hayes, age about thirty, height about 5 ft. 3 in., dark complexion; wearing a dark tweed overcoat and grey felt hat. The description is that of a man who sold the watch to a second-hand dealer.
