INQUIRIES, ETC., FROM OUTSIDE NEW ZEALAND.
Perth (Western Australia). Warrants have been issued for Robert Rothkehl, supposed native of Germany, age about forty-two, oil-prospector, height about 5 ft. 10 in., square shoulders, erect build, fair hair and eyebrows, high forehead, large mouth, thick lips, round chin and face, fair complexion, clean-shaved, but may grow fair moustache, good appearance, speaks good English : and Ernest Thompson, supposed native of Norway, age about thirty-five, sawmill hand, miner or oil-prospector, height about ft., heavy build, fair hair and eyebrows, high forehead, blue eyes, round chin, high cheek-bones, fair complexion, clean-shaved ; dressed in working clothes ; speaks with a foreign accent conspiring to defraud the public by fraudulently representing that they had discovered mineral oil on oil-prospecting area at Perth and elsewhere between 28th March and 31st October last. If located, an urgent communication is to he sent to the Commissioner of Police, Wellington. (See Western Australia Police Gazette, 1923, page 354.)
