Mount Roskill. —28th June last, from a motor-car in Balmoral Road, the property of CYRIL DAVID WALKER, 16 Clark Street, a U.S.L. “ Niagara Falls ” brand accumulator, in a black box ; value, £5. Identifiable.

Auckland. —On the 25th ultimo the premises of H. E. PARTRIDGE AND CO. in Albert Street were broken into, and the following property stolen therefrom: £132 Bs. lid. in notes and silver ; a gentlemen’s rolled-gold wristlet watch, No. 12385, or 12380, or 12381, or 12382, or 12379; and a straight-stem “ Barling ” pipe in a case: total value, £135 13s. lid. Auckland. —llth ultimo, from REGINALD MENDL’S bedroom at the Imperial Hotel, a gentlemen’s dark-blue double-breasted heavy overcoat with black silk lining, cloth hanger; a Gillette razor; three dozen white handkerchiefs, with “ R.M.” on each; four silk shirts; two cream-silk singlets ; and two pairs of tussore-silk pyjamas ; total value, £ls 17s. Te Aroiia.— WILLIAM PERCY SMITH’S bicycle' stolen. It has now been ascertained that the bicycle was abandoned near Morrinsvillc by Eric Robert Burnett, referred to in Police Gazette, 1922, page 672, who has been interviewed in prison by the Invercargill police. (See Gazette, 1922, page 713.)

Jackson (name probably fictitious), age about forty-five, height 5 ft. 10 in., stout build, fresh complexion ; dressed in a fawn oilskin overcoat and brown soft-felt hat. He hired the bicycle from complainant and failed to return it.

Havelock North. —On or about the 7th July last, from a motor-car on Waimarama Road, the property of JOHN BARKER, farmer, a kit of Buick motor-tools, a blue-painted badger-jack, a spot-light with wire attached, and a pair of pliers with vulcanite in handles : total value, £lO. Identification doubtful.

Wellington. Between the 4th and 7th July last, from a cloak-room at the Opera House, the property of ELENOR ELIZABETH ALICE SHAW, Main Road, Muritai, an 18 ct. gold cross-over ring, set with diamonds and emeralds; and an 18 ct. gold ring, set with a sapphire : total value, £37. Identifiable.
