Auckland. —On or about the 23rd March last, from a shed at the railway-station, the property of the HEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Railways Department), a parcel containing 10 yards of blue serge ; value, £l4. Identifiable.

Auckland. —20th April last, from the person of GEORGE GAVAN, while under the influence of liquor, a gentlemen’s silver hunting keyless Waltham watch, No. 17570091 on movement, Ho. 134224 on case ; and a 9 ct. gold curb small watch-chain : total value, £6. Identifiable.

Suspicion is attached to a Mall (name unknown), age about sixteen, height about 5 ft. 6 in., medium build, brown hair, full pimply face; dressed in dark long trousers, dark coat, and grey-felt hat. Suspect borrowed the bicycle from complainant. and failed to return it.

Onehunga. - 13th March last, from ELIZABETH MASSEY’S dwelling in Wallace Road, Mangere, a ladies’ gold keyless hunting small Swiss watch, No. 72825, with a black cord attached ; a silver purse with green-silk lining, and a short chain and a ring attached ; and a silver purse, 4 in. by- 3 in., with “ M.M.” on it, and a small chain and a ring attached : total value, £B. Identifiable.

Papakura. —HENßY BROMLEY’S overcoat, &c., stolen The suspect, William Frederick McMurray, has been interviewed by the Auckland police, but no evidence resulted (See Police Gazette, 1921, page 285.)

Thames. —2sth ultimo, LOUIS THORBURN’S office in a billiard-saloon in Pollen Street was broken into, and the following stolen therefrom : A green-enamelled cash box, containing a £5 note, four £1 notes, and about £4 in silver ; total value, £l3 ss. Suspicion is attached to Leslie Garner, age nineteen, height about 5 ft. 7 in., horse-driver, medium build, fair complexion, brown hair, grey eyes; usually dressed in a brown suit with ridingbreeches, military overcoat, and a grey wide felt hat; insolent manner.

Hamilton. — instant, from the person of THOMAS JOSHUA WARDLE, farm hand, Puketaka, a wallet, two bottles of rum, a Railways Department overcoat, £3O in notes, and a promissory note for £l4O in favour of T. Wardle, and signed “ William Robinson.” Coat and promissory note only identifiable. Complainant, who was under the influence of liquor, was going from Hamilton to Erankton Junction in company with the suspects when he was assaulted and robbed.

Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Ranapia Taffe, age fifteen, height 5 ft. 7-J in., Maori, medium build, dark complexion, black hair, brown eyes.

Gisborne. -19th April last, from behind the post-office, the property of WILLIAM JOHN HUXTABLE, messenger, 8 Awapuni Road, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled free-wheel Swan bicycle, No. 68088, wide handles, back-pedalling brake ; value, £l9. Identifiable.

Hastings. 23rd April last, from HORACE BAUNEIELD’S whare at Greenhill Station, a blue-serge suit with faint white stripes ; a green-felt hat ; a white soft shirt; a pair of brown socks; a coat-hanger;' three books, entitled “ Old St. Paul’s’,” “ Windsor Castle,” and “ Jack Shepherd ” ; 65.; and four foreign coins : total value, £l7 9s. 6d. Identifiable except money. Suspicion is attached to a Man (name unknown), height about 5 ft. 6 in., medium build; dresseddn a grpy suit and felt hat, and leggings or puttees

Wanganui. —2nd instant, from Campbell Place, the property of JOHN HEATH JOHNSTON, Inspector of Machinery, a 2f horse-power twin-cylinder Douglas bicycle, reg. No. W.G. 1916, two-speed gear, new forks, brake on back wheel (right grip missing); foot-rests covered with .oilcloth and bound with lead; value, £l3O. Identifiable.

Wellington.— -Between the 16th and 18th ultimo, from PETER STANLEY LAWRIE’S dwelling at 24 Hobson Street, a red-and-blue Axminster carpet, 7 ft. 6 in. by 10 ft. 6 in., with “ Scoullar and Co.” on fringe; value, £2O. Identifiable.

Wellington. 23rd ultimo, from a bedroom at the Thorndon Private Hospital, the property of KATHLEEN LOUISA KOHN, a dark-brown-gabardine long square-cut costume coat, with brown stitching over pockets ; and a dark-brown skunk-fur. cape, about 18 in. wide, brown-satin lining and dark-brown quilling around edge, two silk crocheted large buttons :. total value, £4O.
