Description : First, age about thirty, height about 5 ft. 8 in., slight build, fresh complexion, dark hair; dressed in a navy-blue suit and black soft-felt hat. Second, age about thirty-three, height about 5 ft. 6 in., strong build, florid complexion, dark hair ; dressed in light-grey suit and grey soft-felt hat.

Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Frank Stanley, age thirty-six, height 5 ft. 8 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, stout build, ruddy complexion, fair hair. Suspect has been interviewed by the Thames police, but no evidence resulted.

Newmarket. —lsth ultimo, from FLORENCE FORSYTH’S bedroom at the Royal George Hotel, a ladies’ silver-mounted handbag, with silver ring handles ; a pair of gold-mounted rimless pince-nez, with a gold chain attached; and a small black purse containing 10s. and a 10s. note : total value, £7 10s. Identifiable except money.

Pukekohe. —14th ultimo, the property of ALLAN DUNSMUIR, a nine-year-old black mare, 15£ hands, short mane, two white spots on baclt; a brown pig-skin leather-lined hunting English saddle, with nickel stirrups; a brownleather martingale; and a pair N of nickel spurs, with “ Patent No. 1469 ” inside : total value, £l2 13s. Eastbourne. —On or about the 30th ultimo CHARLES WILLIAM BUDD’S dwelling in Moana Road, Day’s Bay, was broken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom: An 18 ct. gold granny muff-chain; a Christchurch Exhibition, 1890, medal; a gold brooch, with brown-grey hair in it, and band in centre; a gold bangle, with “ H.M.0.” on it; a gold band ring, with “ J.M.” on inside ; a ladies’ gold chased Geneva watch ; a portmanteau, about 18 in. long ; a gentlemen’s black morning-coat; a grey vest; and a pair of striped trousers, made by H.
