Dargaville. —l9th instant, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his illegitimate child, of whom Rose Martin is the mother, William Maule, age twenty-eight, height sft. 6Jin., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair and eyes. Arrears to 25th March last, £54 12s. 6d. (See Police Gazette, 1916, page 259, and Photographs, 1915, page 45.)

Auckland. —19th instant, that he may be looated and the Superintendent of Police, Auckland, notified of his whereabouts, Henry Curry, age about fifty, height about 5 ft. 8 in., packer, grey hair going bald; wears strong glasses. He takes a keen interest in church matters ; attends Good Templars lodges and Young Men’s Christian Association meetings. He has failed to maintain his wife, Charlotte Bronte Curry, Tennyson Street, St. Kilda, Victoria, who now desires him located. The Auckland police also wish to interview him regarding alleged bigamy committed with Emily Charlotte Burrell at Christchurch on the 17th March, 1917.

Ngaruawahia.— llth ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for six months in default of paying £l4 arrears due on a maintenance order for the support of his wife, May Gordon Salt, and child, Albert Moresby Salt, age twenty-eight, height 5 ft. 8 in., labourer and seaman, native of New Zealand, dark complexion, black hair, brown eyes, thin features, clean-shaved ; usually well dressed; a half-caste Norfolk-Islander. Te Puke. —l2th June, 1917, that he may be compelled to pay arrears of maintenance due for the support of his children, inmates of an industrial school, Joseph Hollis, age about fifty-seven, height about 5 ft. 8 in., labourer, medium build, fresh complexion, dark hair turning grey ; usually dressed in a dark-tweed suit and soft-felt hat; fond of drink ; dirty appearance.

Hamilton. —12th ultimo, that he may be compelled to pay £329, arrears of maintenance due for the support of his illegitimate child, Alfred E. McMullen, an inmate of Wellington Receiving Home, Frederick Parslow, alias Wilson, alias Grey, age sixty-five, height 5 ft. 6Jin., labourer and bricklayer, native of England, sallow complexion, brown hair, grey eyes. Napier. —l9th instant, that he may be located and a fresh registration of aliens card (he having lost the one given to him) supplied to him on payment of a fee of £5, John Swanson, alias Stevenson, alias Smith, alias Samson, age sixty-six, height 5 ft. in., labourer and seaman, native of Norway, fair complexion, brown hair and eyes. Christchurch. —6th March last, that he may be compelled to pay £4 10s. arrears of maintenance due for the support of his three children, inmates of Christchurch Receiving Home, Ivanhoe Price, age forty-four, height 5 ft. 4in., horse-trainer, native of New Zealand, fair hair and complexion, grey eyes, scar on right middle finger and on right knee ; one left knuckle broken. Christchurch. —13th December last, on warrant of commitment to military custody for twenty-one days in default of paying £2 10s. fine and costs for failing to render personal service under the Defence Act, Frank Henry George Fisher, age eighteen, height 5 ft. 8 in., hotel porter, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair.

Dunedin. 22nd instant, on warrant of commitment to Dunedin Prison for seven days in default of paying £2 10s. fine and costs for being found on licensed premises during prohibited hours, Frederick Reginald Walker, age thirty-eight, height 6 ft., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair, blue eyes ; an ex-constable of New Zealand Police Force.

Dunedin. — l4th instant, on warrant for being absent without leave from the s.s. “ Remuera,” Joseph Harris, age thirty-five, height 5 ft. 6 in., greaser, native of England, medium build, pale complexion, dark hair, brown eyes, thick nose inclined to left side; “M.C.M.G,” anchor, and cross on left forearm ; usually dressed in a dark suit and black muffler. He was convicted of the above offence at Dunedin on the 25th March last, and ordered to oome up if called on and to report himself to the police each week until he signed on a ship bound for the United Kingdom.
