PROPERTY STOLEN.

Queen Street Wharf (Auckland). Bth December last, from a seat in Quay Street, the property of WINE LAMB, a brown-leather case, 13 in. by 11 in. by 4 in., fastened with two brass clasps, containing a pink kimono ; a cheque for £l2 10s., No. H 4915, on the Bank of New Zealand, Auckland, drawn by the Auckland Education Board, and payable to Miss Wine Lamb; and several letters : total value, £2 15s. Identifiable.

Auckland.— 4th ultimo, from ALFRED LE BON’S bedroom at 105 Grey Street, a gentlemen’s rolled-gold hunting-watch, slightly dented, No. 217631 ; a pair of gentlemen's black box-calf boots, size 9; a white shirt, size 4; four striped white collars: total value, £7 15s. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to a Man (name unknown), age forty, height 5 ft. 10 in., good build, fair hair and complexion ; dressed in grey rough-tweed suit, trousers lighter in colour than coat and vest, and a light-fawn hat with a black band on it.

Auckland. —14th February last, from a bedoom in the Thames Hotel, the property of MARY BRUNTON, Wharopoa Road, Thames Valley, a dark brown-leather brief-bag, 14 in. long, lined with white calico, containing a pink crepe de Chine dress ; a blue flowered voile dress with a creamcoloured collar ; a pair of white-kid gloves, a pair of white cotton gloves, six white handkerchiefs, a comb, a tooth brush, and a pair of small scissors: total value, £6 19s. 6d. Identifiable.

Te Aroha. —JULIA TERRILL’S jewellery, &0., stolen : It has now been ascertained by the Te Aroha police that the following additional articles were stolen : A gold bracelet, containing a lock of brown hair; a gold cable bangle with a plain and a chased link alternately ; and a gold pendant, set with pearls and tourmalines, with a pearshaped pearl at bottom: total value, £9 ss. Rotorua.— On or about the 2nd ultimo the ROTORUA FURNISHING COMPANY’S premises in Tutanekai Street were broken into, and the following money stolen therefrom : Six £5 notes, eighteen £1 notes, and £9 Is. 3d. in silver ; total value, £57 is. 3d. Not identifiable.

Napier. —On or nbout the 21st ultimo the Technical College was broken into, and £2 14s. 4d., the property of ISAAC EDWARD NEWTON, stolen therefrom.

Waipukurau. —24th December last, from a ruilway-car-iiage between Waipukurau and Hastings, the property of Mrs. COLLIN SCOTT, a brown-leather suit-case with C.S. over P in black on top, containing a ladies’ white coat with black collar and cuSs, a white-silk motor-coat, a dark-grey-tweed skirt, a white skirt, a blue-and-white-voile skirt, a black-satin underskirt, a woollen sport’s coat, three pairs of stockings, and a pair of ladies’ tan shoes : total value, £lB 16s. Identifiable.

Feilding.—On or about the 20th ultimo the High School in Manchester Street and the Technical School in Ferguson Street were broken into, and a stop-watch and a screwdriver (recovered), a clock, and £l2 in silver, the property of the EDUCATION BOARD, stolen therefrom ; total value, £l2 10s. 6d. Shannon.— On or about the 14th ultimo, from a bedroom at the Albion Hotel, the property of MADELINE McKEGG, an 18 ct. gold ring, set with five diamonds, similar to illustration No. 80 in Police Gazette, 1911, page 6 ; and an 18 ct. gold ring, set with three rubies with small diamonds between in claw setting : total value, £2B. Identifiable.

Masterton. —On or about the 21st ultimo NICOLS AND SON’S workshop in Queen Street was broken into, and the following property stolen therefrom : A dark-grey worsted coat and vest, a pair of black-tweed trousers with a silver stripe through them, a pair of brownish check-tweed trousers with cuffs at bottoms, and a pair of dark-grey worsted trousers ; total value, £9 10s. Identifiable.

Wellington.— Between the 13th February last and the 3rd ultimo MRS. EMMELINE ADAMS' JENKINS’S dwelling at Ngaio Road, Kelburn, was broken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom : Seven silver dessertspoons, eight silver teaspoons, and four nickel jam-spoons, with “J ” on handles; and a half-sovereign: total value, £3 Bs. Identifiable except money.

Wellington. —Between the 24th February last and the 4th ultimo ALFRED CHARLES PERRIN’S dwelling at 58 Austin Street was broken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom: A stainless table-knife and two stainless tea-knives, with “ W. R. Humphries and Coy., Sheffield,”on them ; three table-forks ; two silver dessert-spoons ; a small platina fork ; and a wristlet Rolex watch, with “ Presented to A. C. Perrin from the Christchurch Press Literary staff, March. 1916,” on back, in a leather case : total value, £8 10s. Identifiable.

Wellington.—llth ultimo, from Hunter Street, the property of ERNEST SMITH BALDWIN, 215 Lambton Quay, a black T. model five-seater Ford motor - car, registered No. W.N. 1814, Maltese Cross Paragon tires, “ No. 1851 C ” and “596148,” black tread with red sides on front wheels, grey tires on back wheels ; total value, £2OO. Identifiable.

Wellington. —On or about the Ist February last, from a motor-car on the Rimutaka Hills, the property of HARRY RANISH, Hinaki, Carterton, a motor-car tire, No. 12476, with “ 760 X 90,” on it, Stepney square tread; and a Barnett Glass tube, “760 X 90,” on it, No. 138535: total value, £4 10s.
