New Plymouth.— l9th May last, on warrant of commitment to New Plymouth Prison for failing to find security for his obedience to a maintenance order for the support of his unborn illegitimate child, Robert Dean, groc r’s assistant, age twenty-four, height, 5 ft. 10 in., naive of New Zealand, slim build, clean-shaved, fair complexion and hair, blue eyes, mole on side of face, front teeth are stopped with gold ; dresses well. His father lives near Granicy.

Manaia.— l3th May last, on warrant of commitment to New Ply mouth Prison for one month for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his mother, William McGarvie, age thirty, height 5 ft. 10 in., teamster and labourer, naiive of New Zealand, medium build, sallow complexion, clean-shaved, dark hair (thin on top), grey or blue eyes; fond of drink ; a prohibited person. Arrears to 25th February, 1914, £ll.

Hastings. —lst April last, on two warrants of commitment to Alexandra Military Detention Wellington, for seven days and fourteen days, respectively, in default of paying £2 fine and costs for breaches of the Defence Act, Thomas Gilhooley, age twenty-one, height sft. 6^in., blacksmith’s striker, native of New Zealand, medium build, dark complexion, brown hair, grey eyes ; usually dressed in dark suit and soft-felt hat.

Otaki. —2nd instant, that she may be compelled to support her illegitimate son, an inmate of the Weraroa Training Farm, Emma Ethel Rebecca Spackman, domestic, age thirty-six, height 5 ft. 5 in., native of New Zealand,

Complainant, Ellen Thompson, Rodgers Lane, Masterton.
