(See Police Gazette, 1896, pages 206 and 213; and 1897, page 44.) Auckland. —Henry Cuthbertson, charged with the theft of moneys of the Official Assignee: This warrant has been cancelled.

(See Police Gazette, 1897, page 121; and 1898, page 38.) Auckland. —Patrick Hickey, charged on warrants in default of paying fines, has been arrested by Constable Cahill, and lodged in prison.

(See Police Gazette, 1899, page 21.) Auckland. —John Connell, charged with forgery, has been arrested by Constable G. Hastie, Lyttelton police, and remanded to Auckland. (See Police Gazette, 1898, pages 97 and 119.) Aratapu. —Charles Anderson, alias B. C. Tonks, charged with absconding from bail, has been arrested by Constable J. P. Miller, Auckland police, and remanded to Aratapu. (See Police Gazette, 1897, page 161 ; and 1898, page 38.) Wanganui. —George Kershaw, for default of paying a fine and costs, has been arrested by the Eltham police, and lodged in Wanganui Gaol.

Waipawa. —Kristian Dennison is charged on warrant of commitment to Napier Gaol for seven days in default of paying £1 19s. 6d., fine and costs, for drunkenness. Description : A native of Denmark, a labourer, thirty-six years of age, 5 ft. 5 in. high, fair complexion, light-brown hair, hazel eyes, small mouth and chin, scars on left thumb and nose, foreign accent. Wellington. —Anthony Arrowsmith is charged on warrant with the theft, on the 21st ultimo, of £2O, money of John Latham, labourer, Peter Street. Description: Supposed colonial, about twenty-seven years of age, 5 ft. 2 in. or 3 in. high, medium build, very fair complexion, slight fair moustache only ; dressed in a light suit and hard black-felt hat. He left by the s.s. “Rotorua” for Lyttelton on the above date, in company with Mrs. Latham, complainant’s wife, her two daughters and a son, booking as Mr. and Mrs. Jones and family. Mrs. Latham is about thirty-six years of age, 5 ft. 4 in. high, fair complexion, dark hair; usually wears dark clothes. The girls are aged fourteen years and four years respectively, and the boy ten years. (See Police Gazette, 1899, page 21.) Wellington. —J. Frank Black, charged with the theft of £IOO, money of Charles Spencer Booth: This warrant has been cancelled.
