(See Police Gazette, 1896, page 12.) Auckland. — John Langford Crumpe’s boat has been found.
Auckland. —. Richard Eade, grocer, Remuera, reports that during the night of the 7bh instant his shop was broken into, and sundries to the value of £7 stolen.
New Plymouth. —William Russell reports stolen from his dray, on the sth or 6th instant, a coil of barbed wire marked with a daub of white paint, “ Johnson and Nephew, Manchester,” and crossed keys on a tin plate attached; value, 18s.
Wanganui. —Cummins, Sharpe, and Co., grocers, Ridgway Street, report stolen from a shed, during the night of the 11th instant, a nearly-new saddle, spur-mark on side, oil-stain on lining, a nail hammered in front, and an old single-rem bridle ; value, £3 10s.
Wanganui. —John Love, butcher, Aramoho, reports stolen from a hut, on the 29th ultimo, a silver lever Rotherham watch, “ John Love ” scratched inside, no glass, steel chain and key attached. Suspicion attached to Patrick Burnes, about forty years of age, sft. 6in. high, dressed in a brown coat, black trousers, and brown slouched hat.

Wanganui. Samuel Northey, alias Samuel Rowling, charged with breaking into and stealing from Henry Hurley’s shop, has been arrested for false pretences by Chief Detective W. Campbell, Wellington police, and sentenced to six months’ labour.
Pahautanui ( W ellington) ,£ 10 Reward .—Henry Ri ch ard - son Elder, farmer, Waikanae, reports stolen from the Waikanae Railway-station, on the 28th or 29th ultimo, two cases, containing 251 b. of raisins and currants, 61b. preserved ginger, 41b. macaroni, 21b. cheese, 411 b. of bacon, a box of soap, Jib. pickling spice, 41b. whole black pepper, 2 dozen lemons, a box of mixed herbs, 121 b. of loaf sugar, 6 dozen rubber rings for jam-botcles, and 201 b. of biscuits, &c.: value, £4 14s. sd. Complainant guarantees a reward of £lO on conviction of the offender or offenders.

Christchurch. Catherine Stephenson, charged with stealing Dr. A. F. J. Mickle’s wringer (recovered), has been arrested, and sentenced to fourteen days’ labour.
Little River. —H. D. Buchanan, farmer, reports stolen during the last three months twenty pack-saddle straps, about 6ft. long, some nearly new, others well worn, “ Kinloch ” stamped in several places on each; value, £2.
Outram. —John Mcßride, saddler, reports stolen from a railway-carriage between Dunedin and Mosgiel, on the Bth instant, a black waterproof overcoat, nearly new, with long deep cape, black lining, no sleeves, plain black-bone buttons to pockets outside, fastens at neck by a small chain with dog’s head, fits a man about sft. lOin. high ; value, £2 ss. 6d.
