Thomas Smith is inquired for by his wife, through the Ormondville Police. Description: English, a shoemaker, thirty-six years of age, sft. 4in. high, medium build, fair complexion, light-brown hair (usually worn long), beard, whiskers, and moustache, large eyebrows, two pimples on nose (one at left side). Was at Allington, near Ashburton, about the middle of April last, and called on a William Gardner, father of Mrs. Smith’s first husband. He travels about, working at his trade, and, if found, should be informed that unless he provides for the support of his wife and family, who are destitute, proceedings will be taken to compel him to do so.

Charles Brennan is inquired for by the Auckland Police with the view of recovering money for maintenance of his children in the Girls’ Industrial School. Description : Irish, a busliman and gum-digger, about thirty-eight years of age, medium build, fair complexion, light-brown hair, sandy beard, whiskers, and moustache, sharp, thin features. He left Kaikohe, Bay of Islands district, about a year ago, with the intention of going to Mercury Bay or Napier.

Frederick Edwin Webb is inquired for by his sister, through Mr. W. Chissell, Poplar House, Emerson Street, Napier. Description : A native of Wells, County Norfolk, England, thirty-four years of age, sft. Sin. high, light-blue eyes, light-brown hair, fresh complexion, Church of England. He arrived at Wellington about thirteen years ago in a sailing-vessel commanded by a Mr. Sexton; served in a Government steamer for ten months; joined the Armed Constabulary on the 24tli September, 1881, and resigned that Force in the Waikato district, twelve months later.
