The sum of £2 has been awarded to Constable John Mclntyre, Invercargdl Police, in recognition of his services in connection with the prosecution of Louisa Fearn, convicted of sly grog-selling. (1805/90.) The sum of ss. has been awarded by the Customs Department to Constable B. O’Brien, Wellington Police, in recogtion of services rendered in the seizure of cigars from one of the crew of the “ Kwei Yang.” (1943/90.) The sum of £3 3s. has been awarded by Messrs. Levin and Co. to Constable John J. Johnston, Wellington Police, in recognition of his services in preventing the s.s. “ Napier” being destroyed by fire. (1957/90.)
