(See Police Gazette, 1888, page 109.) John Dignan, alias Ginger, charged on warrant of commitment to gaol for one month’s labour, in default of paying £5 65., fine and costs, for unlawfully taking rock-oysters, has been arrested by Constable Edward Mackey, Auckland Police. Fine and costs paid.
John Ingleby, alias Matthews, is charged, on warrant issued by the Christchurch Bench, with failing to provide his wife with adequate means of support, at Sydenham, near Christchurch, since about June, 1886. Description: A native of Yorkshire, an iron-smelter and labourer, fifty-seven years of age, 6ft. lin. high, stout build, light-blue eyes, brown hair beard whiskers and moustache turning grey, turns right foot slightly in when walking; slovenly appearance, fond of drink. He is a great agitator at meetings of the unemployed. He was at Brisbane in December last.
(See Police Gazette, 1888, page 109.) John Tiiorrurn, charged on warrant of commitment to gaol for two months’ labour, in default of paying £lO, fine and costs, fur assaulting Rapeata Tamati, has been arrested by Constable E. C. Hughes, Kawakawa Police.

Charles Ocean Thompson, charged on warrants of commitment to gaol in default of paying fines and costs for allowing his horse to bo at large at Napier, paid the amount due, on the 21st February last, to Sergeant Adam Bissett, Wanganui Police.
(See Police Gazette, ISBB, pages 64 and 84.) Michael Coyle, charged on warrant of commitment to Napier Gaol for two months’ labour for maliciously damaging property belonging to Elizabeth Burton, has been arrested at Auckland by Constable E. J. Lawliss, Napier Police.

Ola Hoff, alias Laurence Hoff, charged on warrants of commitment to gaol for two months’ labour for maliciously damaging property belonging to Elizabeth Burton, to three months’ labour for using obscene language, and to one month’s labour in default of paying £6 65., fine and costs, for insulting behaviour, has been arrested at Auckland by Constable E. J. Lawliss, Napier Police.
(See Police Gazette, 1888, page 32.) Albert Marsh, charged on warrant of commitment to gaol for one month’s imprisonment for a breach of the Destitute Persons Act, has been arrested by Constable Robert Darby, Carterton Police.
(See Police Gazette, 1887, page 32, and 18S8, page 113.) Thomas Chandler, charged on warrant with deserting his wife and children, has been arrested by Constable John Ryan, Danovirko Police, aud remanded to Wellington.
