Horse- and Cattle-stealing.

The sheep, the property of William Davis, reported stolen from a paddock at Jordan’s Creek, near Awahuri, have been recovered ; they were not stolen.

The horse, the property of James Wilkin, supposed stolen from a paddock at Fendalton, near Christchurch, has been recovered, not stolen.
Stolen between the 13th January last and the 27th ultimo, from a paddock at Yellow Bluff, near Otautau, Southland District, eleven three-quarter-bred fat wethers, some branded like two diamonds with a stroke between, others with a horseshoe in black, and others with SB in green on back and sides; the property of Robert Cupples; value Bs. each. Identifiable.

The horse, the property of the Government, supposed stolen from Greytown North, has been recovered. He was impounded at Masterton on the 25th ultimo by Richard Kebblewhite, of Fernridge.
