Extract from New South Wales Police Gazette.
(From Gazette, 1885, page 234, and 1886, page 53.) Information is requested as to the whereabouts of William Thomas Webster, about twenty-seven years old, sft. 7Jin.
high, stout build, brown curly hair whiskers and moustache; dressed in brown-tweed suit and hard black hat; a commercial traveller; native of London; arrived in the colony by the s.s. “Potosi” about eighteen months ago ; last heard of about five weeks since. Further inquiries requested respecting William Thomas Webster, missing friend. He may have gone to Queensland or to New Zealand. He is said to be well known to a Mr. Stokes, now residing in New Zealand.
