Deserting Wives and Families, &c.
Margaret Robertson is charged on warrant of commitment to gaol for forty-eight hours’ imprisonment, issued by the Christchurch Bench, in default of paying £1 2s. fine and costs, for maliciously injuring property at Christchurch on the 12th August last. Description : Irish, forty years of age, 5 feet 3 or 4 inches high, very stout build, dark complexion and hair, broad coarse features, inflamed eyes, fond of drink; near her confinement. She left Christchurch in company with her husband, Joseph Robertson, Scotch, a labourer, forty-two years of age, 6 feet high, medium build, long features, sandy complexion, sandy hair beard whiskers and moustache.
