F. Love is charged, on warrant issued by the Dunedin Bench, with the larceny as a bailee, on the 13th instant, at Dunedin, of a watch; the property of Robert John Tanner. Description : A watchmaker, forty years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, medium build, dark-brown hair beard whiskers and moustache, whiskers turning grey, flat nose; wore dark-brown-tweed sac-suit and black hard felt hat. He pawned the watch, which was given to him by Tanner to repair.

Stolen between 1 p.m. on the 10th and 8 a.m. on the 12th instant, from the Caxton Printing Office, Princes Street, Dunedin, a magnifying glass, value 10s. 6d.; a small scraper, value 3s. 6d. ; a pocket-knife with two blades, value Is.; a reducing compass, value 155.; a pair of scissors, value 3s. 6d.; and a brass-wire sieve, about 9 inches in diameter, value 25.; the property of John Fulton. Identifiable.

A letter, the property of George Crichton, posted at Feilding on the 2nd instant, addressed “Mrs. George Crichton, care Mr. George Crichton, Government Insurance Department, Wellington,” has not reached its destination,

and it is supposed has been stolen. It contained a£s note and two £1 notes.
