Extract from South Australian Police Gazette

Henry Alfred Wood, ex public trustee, and Kate Lowry, alias Burnett, ex domestic servant, now cohabiting, are charged on warrant with forgery and uttering, at Adelaide, on the 2nd June last, to the amount of £6,600 9s. Id. Description : Wood, age about fifty years, height 5 feet 7 inches, stoutish build, dark sandy hair moustache and whiskers, slovenly appearance, stutters slightly. Lowry, ago about twenty-eight years, height 5 feet 2 inches, fair complexion, light-brown hair inclined to red, grey eyes, stylish appearance, expert dressmaker.—C. 1703.
