Sydney.— A warrant has been issued by the Central Police Bench for the arrest of George Bartlett, charged with childdesertion. He is thirty years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, stout build, dark hair and complexion, dark moustache only. Said to have left for New Zealand by the steamer “Wailiora” on the 30th April last. Complainant, Jessie Bartlett, care of Mrs. Anderson, confectioner, Liverpool Road, Ashfield.

Armidale.—A warrant has been issued by the Armidale Bench for the arrest of Arthur Elems, charged with unlawfully deserting his wife, Elizabeth, at Armidale, on the 4th May last, leaving her without means of support. Elems is about thirty-four years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, slender build, brown eyes, brown hair, nearly bald on front part of head; a bush-labourer. Said to have gone to New Zealand. Offender’s wife and children are said to be in destitute circumstances.
