Department of Justice, Wellington, 25tli April, 1884. HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint
Constable George Foreman to be Clerk of the Resident Magistrate’s Court at Helensville, vice Constable M. Naughton. THOMAS DICK, (for the Minister of Justice.)
Additional Regulation tinder “ The Salmon and Trout Act , 1867,” for the Otago Provincial District.
Wm. F. DRUMMOND JERVOIS, • Governor. IN pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by '‘The Salmon and Trout Act, 1867,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand doth hereby make the following additional regulation, to be in force within the Provincial District of Otago, namely : Any person taking salmon, trout, or other introduced salmon idee or white-fish in or from any river, creek, stream, watercourse, water-race, lake, pond, or estuary, within the Provincial District of Otago, without the authority of His Excellency the Governor or other lawful authority previously obtained, shall bo liable to a penalty not exceeding fifty pounds, to be recovered in manner provided by “ The Salmon and Trout Act, 1867.” As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor) this twenty-ninth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four. Clerk of Resident Magistrate's Court, dc., appointed.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Sergeant William Brown to be Clerk of the Resident Magistrate’s Court at Arrowtown, and Clerk of the Licensing Committees for the Districts of Matukituki, Cardrona, Arrow, and Arrowtown, from the 15th instant, vice J.
