The sum of £5 has been awarded by the Manawatu Acclimatization Society to Constable Francis McAnulty, Foxton Police, in recognition of his services in connection with the prosecution of Henry Webb, fined £lO for a breach of “ The Animals Protection Act, 1880.”
The sum of £1 each has been awarded to Sergeant William Thomas Mason and Constables Patrick McCormack, Timothy O’Connor, and Thomas Joseph McCormack, and the sum of 10s. each to Constables Patrick J. Herlihy and Thomas Drake, Lyttelton Police, in recognition of their services in the prevention of desertion, &c., from the steamer “ British Queen.”
The sums of £5 and £1 respectively have been awarded from the Reward Fund to Sergeant-Major Andrew Thompson and Constable James McAlister, Oamaru Police, in recognition of their services in connection with the prosecution of Rachel Shaw, fined £SO and costs on two charges of sly grogselling.
Erratum. For discharged prisoner “James McGibbon,” in Gazette of the sth instant, page 41, read “James McKibbon.”
