Stolen from Francis Jenkins, Aubui-n Road, Hawthorn, on the 21st, instant, a chestnut colt, about four and a half years old, branded M on one shoulder, suitable for saddle or light harness; value £2O. The saddle and bridle cannot be described at present. They were sold for John Fulham in Campbell’s yards, Bourke Street West, but to whom is at present unknown. A warrant has been issued for Fulham. Description : Irish, a labourer, station-hand and drover, thirty-five to forty years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, stout build, dark complexion hair whiskers beard and moustache; wore greytweed suit, dust-coat, and drab soft felt hat. He was brought before the Melbourne Police Court on the 19th instant for assault. His brother lives in Tasmania, and his wife is on complainant’s station at Moorabee, near Heathcote.—O. 1347. —27th February, 1883. —John Fulham, horse-stealing: It has been ascertained that the offender’s name is Alexander John Fulham, and it is probable he is now in either Tasmania or New Zealand.
