John Russell, charged on warrant with disobeying a summons to appear as a witness at the Resident Magistrate’s Court, Wanganui, has been arrested by Sergeant James Burtenshaw, Napier Police, and discharged.

George William Gates, charged on warrant with deserting his wife and child, at Christchurch, has been arrested by Detective Terence O’Brien, Oamaru Police.
James Jackson is charged, on warrant issued by the Christchurch Bench, with deserting bis wife and three children, at Ashburton, since February last. Description : English, a bricklayer, thirty-sis years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, slight build, fair complexion, brown eyes, sandy whiskers and moustache, chin shaved; wore dark-grey tweed suit and soft black-felt hat. He is supposed to have gone to Dunedin.
James McEvoy is charged, on warrant issued by the Christchurch Bench, with failing, since about the Ist ultimo, to provide for the support of his two illegitimate children by Ellen Curry, iDescription: Irish, a cattle-dealer, thirty-four or thirty-five years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, stout build, dark curly hair, dark beard whiskers and moustache, full fiat face, light eyes. Ho may have gone to Rakaia, where he owns land.

The warrant issued by the Dunedin Bench for the arrest of William Marshall, for deserting his children, at Warrington, lias been cancelled.
