The chestnut mare, the property of Frederick Faber, supposed stolen from Featherston, has been found in the pound at Masterton.

The light-grey draught horse, the property of George Clerke, supposed stolen from Feilding, lias been found in the pound at Turakina.
(See Police Gazette, 1881, page 37.) The black saddle-gelding, the property of the Government, supposed stolen from Featherston, has been recovered.
Supposed stolen about the 26th January last, from a paddock at To Aroha, a dark-bay horse, three years old, about fifteen hands high, star on forehead, branded S on near shoulder ; the property of George Green ; value £B. Identifiable.
Stolen on the sth instant, from the RahotuCamp, Taranaki, a very dark-bay mare, branded JL in Roman capitals on near shoulder, star on forehead, one of hind fetlocks white, mark of old scar on off fore fetlock; the property of C. S. Gillet. Identifiable. Suspicion attached to James Corbett, English, a carpenter, about forty-five years of age, 5 feet 9£ inches high, slight build, sallow complexion, dark hair, beard, whiskers, and moustache, hair worn long ; usually wears tweed clothes and soft black-felt hat; dirty appearance; fond of drink; speaks loudly.
