(From Gazette, 1881, pages 220, 221, 247, 266, 267, and 271.) Fixing Sittings of District Court of Hawke’s Bay.

Arthur Gordon, Governor.

In pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in this behalf enabling me, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby fix and appoint that sittings at Gisborne of the District Court of Hawke’s Bay shall be held as follows, in lieu of those previously fixed and appointed : In the Courthouse, Gisborne, for criminal and civil business, on the third Monday in April, July, October, and January in every year.

Provided that in case any of the days so fixed as aforesaid shall happen to be a holiday, then the Court appointed for that day shall be holden on the first day thereafter not being a holiday.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twelfth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one.

Fixing Sittings of District Court at Timaru

In pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in this behalf enabling me, I, Arthur Hamilton G-ordon, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby fix and appoint that sittings at Timaru of the District Court of the Timaru and Oamaru District shall be held as follows, in lieu of those previously fixed and appointed : At Timaru, at the Courthouse in North Street, for the despatch of civil business, on the sixteenth day of every month, and for the despatch of criminal business on the sixteenth day of March and September in each year. Provided that in case any of the days so fixed as aforesaid shall happen to be a Sunday or a holiday, then the Court appointed for that day shall be holden on the first day thereafter not being a holiday. Fixing Date of Circuit Court at Hokitika.

Arthur Gordon, Governor. ORDER IN COUNCIL. At the Government House, at Wellington, this third day of March, 1881. Present: His Excellency the Governor in Council. In pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by “ The Supreme Court Act, 1860,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby appoint that there shall be held in the Westland District, at the Supreme Courthouse at Hokitika, on Monday, the twenty-eighth day of March next, a Circuit Court for the despatch of civil and criminal business of the said Court.

In exercise of the powers vested in me by “ The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the native game mentioned in the Schedule hereto may be taken or killed, within the Counties of Southland, Wallace, Fiord, and Stewart Island, daring the period between the first

day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one and the thirtieth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and inclusive.

SCHEDULE. Wild duck of any species, bittern, pied stilt plover, wild geese, dotterel!, native pigeon, teal, black stilt plover, curlew, quail. As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-sixth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one.
