Missing Friends.

Information is requested respecting the whereabouts of Francis H. Gorstage, a native of Liverpool, a ship steward and hotel waiter, twenty-three years of age, 5 feet high, very slight build, fresh complexion, sandy beard and whiskers worn long, curly auburn hair, small grey eyes, long features, very high forehead, Roman nose, small hands and feet. On the 29th June last he left Clifden Station, Southland District, with fourteen dogs on a pig-hunting expedition, and has not since been heard of; all the dogs have returned to the station. Inquiry is made for him at the request of his wife.

Information is requested respecting . the whereabouts of Hugh McLean, alias McLeod, Scotch, a shepherd and stationhand, about thirty years of age, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, stout build, fair hair, thin straggling fair beard, whiskers, and moustache ; wore dark-tweed sac-coat, grey-tweed trousers, and soft black-felt hat. He was last seen on the 18th ultimo, followed by two sheep dogs, going towards Porter’s Pass ; the dogs have since returned to Craigieburn, where he last stayed. As he is of weak intellect fears are entertained for his safety.

Information is requested respecting the whereabouts of A. J. Haughton, who left Liverpool with his family in December, 1877, by the ship “ Antiope,” for New Zealand. It is ■aid that a sister of Mrs. Haughton resides in Otago.
