SOUTHBRIDGE IN CANTERBURY
Southbridge, an old-established township in Ellesmere County, is surrounded by some of the most fertile and high-producing land in the Dominion. Very high yields of white clover seed, barley, wheat, peas, and potatoes are obtained on farms in the district. The production of fat lambs and to a smaller extent dairying are also practised.
