This is the first of a series of volumes planned to cover all phases of farming in the Dominion which will be a work befitting in quality and scope the high place New Zealand agriculture has attained. As a text-book for the student, as a reference work for the farmer, and as a chronicle of New Zealand's agricultural progress of interest to the general reader the book can be highly recommended; its value will undoubtedly increase with the years.
