ACCEPTANCES. — Stanley Handicap Hurdles Isov, Cautley Handicap 2sovs, Vauxhall Handicap Isov, St. Andrew’s Handicap 4sovs, Rakino Handicap 2 sovs, Pupuke Hack Handicap Isov, Kawau Handicap Hurdles 2sovs, Welter Handicap 2sovs. RULES AND .REGULATIONS. To which the Attention of Persons Entering Horses is Particularly Requested. All races run under the New Zealand Racing Conference Rules of Racing. Owners are responsible for all penalties and allowances. Prior to any race the Stewards may order a parade of horses in front of the stand. The owner of any horse absent from such parade without the permission of the Stewards will be fined 2sovs. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales one half hour before the official time of starting the race. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this Rule will be fined by the Stewards a sum of not less than Isov nor more than 20sovs. Entries by telegram or telephone must be confirmed in writing at the earliest possible opportunity, otherwise a fine of £2 will be imposed. The Club re'serves the right to revise this Programme prior to the dates of closing of -the nominations, and to alter the dates of the fixtures, etc. The Committee reserve the right to postpone the races from time to time, if, in their opinion,-the weather proves unfavourable for racing. No nomination or acceptance will be received on any pretence whatever after the hour named, or without being accompanied by the necessary amount in cash. The attention of owners, is .particularly culled to this Regulation. This Rule will not apply to owners who have previous arrangements with the Committee. . , , x „ No jockey shall be weighed out for any race unless the amount of his minimum fee, as for a losing mount in the race, has been previously deposited with the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales, or other official appointed by the Stewards for that purpose. If he wins, the balance of his fee shall be deducted from the stake otherwise payable to the owner and shall be paid to him The Club shall be responsible to the jockey for his minimum fee under these Rules, less 2% per cent, thereon to be deducted by the Club for collecting and paying and for the responsibility imposed.
